Drawn from Apple’s published dimensions, so the relative footprints are accurate. Body style reflects the bezel era — thick bezels with a home button through 2021, uniform thin bezels from the 2018 Pro onward. A bigger screen doesn’t always mean a bigger iPad: the 10.2″ and 10.5″ share one identical body, as do the 10.9″ and 11″ — the difference is bezel thickness, not size. The 8.3″ mini is actually shorter than the 7.9″ one. Tap any size to filter the table to it.

Padigree is every iPad Apple has released since 2010, in one table — a pedigree being a documented lineage, which is exactly what the grid below is. Specifications come from Apple’s published tech specs; used prices are estimates checked weekly against live marketplace sales. It is maintained by one person and is not affiliated with Apple.
No ads. No trackers. No cookies. No affiliate links. Nothing on this page follows you and nothing reports back. Every file — photographs included — is served from this domain with its metadata stripped, and the site’s security policy forbids your browser from loading anything from anywhere else, so a tracking pixel could not run here even if one were added by mistake. Every link out is a plain link with nothing appended, so no seller pays when you follow one. Open your browser’s network tab and check.
The one number that does get counted is page requests, which the web host logs simply by answering them — that figure is in the footer. It cannot tell one reader from another, and nothing is stored on your device. It is read off the server and typed in by hand each week, so this page still asks nothing of anyone to display it.
Which means the rankings in the buying guide are ordered by one thing only: how much protection you get as a buyer. There is no version of this page where a seller paid to be higher up.
